Janine and Harry’s Wedding

Janine and I go way back as we almost arrived in Australia at the same time in 2009. So I was very privileged to be asked to take photographs of her wedding, held in 2020 and more than a decade since we first met, at Kuitpo Forest.

The wedding was very much akin to the fairytale weddings little girls dream of. With the towering heights of Radiata pine trees and the warm, comforting sunlight pouring through the gaps between the leaves, the scene was just... ethereal.

The speeches during the ceremony were earnest and truly showed the love that was painstakingly built up, brick by brick.

What enhanced this magical day further was the touching moment during the reception where Harry danced with his nanna. It was a soul-stirring display of affection between a grandson and his grandmother.

The guests had an amazing time, experiencing this joyous occasion together with the couple.

It’s honestly surreal to realise how much time had passed since my first encounter with Janine. We grew up together as teenagers, and now she’s stepping onto new heights — accompanied by a man who warms her heart more than any fire could. I pray that the years ahead will be filled with lasting joy for this lovely couple.
