Erin and Anthony’s Wedding

The atmosphere during the preparations on the bride’s side was calming, quiet, but I could feel the bubbling excitement from all of the ladies involved during the photo shoot. The dress was gorgeous when we had the ‘first look’, and I think it was during this moment that I realised, seeing the awe on every bridesmaid’s face — this was indeed a memorable and magical time. I was thrilled to have witnessed this firsthand.

The weather was perfect outside: there were no clouds in the sky and neither too hot nor too cold. Absolutely perfect for the wedding ceremony, and it added to the already great vibes coming from the crowd. Everyone knew each other, smiles all around.

The ceremony itself was a little different to what I usually shoot. It was held at an Orthodox church where the wedding traditions and symbolisms differed a little from what I’m used to. Nonetheless, it was still such an honour and a privilege that I was chosen to capture this momentous, heartfelt occasion.

We then had a trip around the CBD for the photo shoot, which was just 100% fun. We visited the Ebenezer place, Adelaide’s famous artisan oasis, and headed to Kuitpo Hall to take more photos. These locations were truly a feast for the eyes.

Kuitpo Hall was also the venue for the reception. At this point, the temperature had dipped slightly as nighttime drew near, but the party kept warm with all the dancing and pumping music. I couldn’t stop smiling all throughout.

It was a fantastic day, all in all.

I had known Anthony through church circles, and he is such a great guitar player. We’re cut from the same cloth in that we both love music. And now? Being happily married men is another trait that we now also share. Hehe.

Seriously, though, I was thankful to have been a part of the wedding, and it was also very nice to have caught up with a dear friend.

As I’m writing this blog entry, Erin and Anthony now have a baby boy! I’m so happy for them! I know they’ll be such awesome parents, and I can’t wait for all that life has to offer them.
